Pac-12 Championship – Pick: Oregon +6.5 (vs. Utah)
Utah hasn’t lost since September, just in case you guys were wondering why Oregon isn’t the favorite in this game. I love Oregon to cover in this one. Oregon QB Justin Herbert needs to have a strong end of the season in order to secure a top 10 draft position.
Sun Belt Championship – Pick: App State -6 (vs. ULL)
App State is rolling, so we will roll with them. The Louisiana-Lafayette Rajin’ Cajuns were held to 7 points the last time they faced App State in October, where they lost 17-7. I expect the same type of result in this one.
MAC Championship – Pick: Central Michigan -6.5 (vs. Miami-Ohio)
I want to first talk about why the hell they moved this game to Saturday at Noon. Ask any Detroiter about this game and they will always say that they’d prefer the night game. Nonetheless, I like Central Michigan this season and in this game. Jim McElwain has done a tremendous job coaching this football team. Friendly reminder that Central Michigan was 1-11 last season, and now they are playing for the MAC Championship.
Big 12 Championship – Pick: Oklahoma ML (vs. Baylor)
Oklahoma has been a great bet all season long. I was surprised that this line opened so high at -8, that I decided this will be the first game in The Final Count history where I just pick a flat out winner. I love Jalen Hurts’ experience around this time of year and I think they end up making the College Football Playoff this season. These two delivered a classic game to us just a month ago, as Oklahoma rally’d after being down 31-10 to win 34-31.
Conference USA Championship – Pick: FAU -7.5 (vs. UAB)
I had to do a lot of research for this game, because to be honest I have not watched either team all season. As football fans know, the great Lane Kiffin is the head coach of FAU, and they have had a favorable season. He’s a hot commodity on the coaching trail, recently being linked to Arkansas (The Spun) and could be snagged after FAU’s bowl game. But, nonetheless, I like FAU to win this game handedly. Redshirt Sophomore QB Chris Robinson has had a phenomenal season for the Owl’s so far this season, throwing for 22 TD’s and 5 INT (FAUSports.com).
American Championship Game – Pick: Memphis ML (vs. Cincinnati)
This is my favorite matchup of the weekend. We have seen a lot of American Conference football on ESPN this season, and it’s been tremendous. Now, we get to watch the two best teams in the conference duke it out in hopes for a big bowl game in December. I love Memphis in this one. I picked Memphis last weekend at -11 and they won by 10 so this is my redemption game.
SEC Championship Game – Pick: LSU -7 (vs. Georgia)
I love this game from a betting standpoint. Two good QB’s, two defenses that have struggled for some of the season, you get a little bit of everything in one game. If Georgia wins, they make the playoff and LSU likely drops to the 4th seed. If LSU wins, Georgia misses the playoff and LSU will likely be the number one seed, beating out Ohio State. I love Joe Burrow to get the job done on Saturday night and the rest of the college football season. They are my pick to win the National Championship.
Mountain West Championship – Pick: Boise State -14 (vs. Hawaii)
I have never picked Hawaii when they are off the island and that trend will continue this weekend. I love Boise State to take care of business by 21+. The Blue Field is basically undefeated in my eyes. LOAD ALERT GAME OF THE WEEK.
ACC Championship – Pick: Clemson -28.5 (vs. Virginia)
Not much to say about this one, but I do want to talk about how annoying people are about Clemson. Stop saying they haven’t played anyone. They are destroying teams this season. Since the UNC game, they haven’t won a game by less than 30 points. They will roll Virginia and make the CFB playoff.
Big Ten Championship – Pick: Ohio State -16.5 (vs. Wisconsin)
Always love the Big Ten Championship, but even more especially when both teams are wearing accents of red. It’s a weird, aesthetically pleasing thing to watch. Wisconsin started the season great, running through the state of Michigan and a few small schools. This past week they looked awesome in a snow filled matchup to get to this stage, beating Minnesota 38-17. BUT, I love Ohio State this season. They are the most complete team in college football and haven’t slowed down all season.
